"Superman"

This story was started the day after Halloween, and then forgotten in the back of the student's writing folder. She came across it in January and asked whether she could finish the book. We used this as a teachable moment about how authors may begin a story and leave it for a while before they go back to it. She had to go back to the kids in the classroom that she remembered seeing at her church party on Halloween and ask them about their costumes, but she finished the book almost three months after it was started. The class learned a lesson about revisiting unfinished work, and they really enjoyed hearing about Halloween and talking about their costumes again!
